Fenomenología del juego escolar en el Colegio Gymnasium
Keywords:
play, phenomenology, school culture, ethic, cooperationAbstract
This essay addresses the phenomenon of play in secondary schools from a phenomenological, cultural,
and ethical perspective, focusing on recreational events organized by students at the Gymnasium School
of the National University of Tucumán. Through a theoretical review and analysis of concrete
experiences, it reflects on play as a complex cultural practice shaped by tensions between cooperation
and competition, ethical frameworks, and collectively constructed meanings. Drawing on the works of
Huizinga, Merleau-Ponty, Pérez Triviño, Bourdieu, Tamburri, and Guariglia & Vidiella, the essay
examines how school play practices express institutional traditions, habitus, values, and forms of
interaction, and how they constitute a privileged space for students’ ethical and cultural formation.
