Abstract

Based on the theoretical-conceptual frameworks of the internationalization processes of Higher Education by various global(Knight y Altback, 2007; Knight 2008 y 2011; De Wit et al 2005; De Wit 2011 y 2013; Hudzik, 2011) and regional authors (Gacel-Ávila, 2007 y 2012; Oregioni, 2013; Taborga et al., 2013; Beneitone, 2014; Perrota, 2016 y 2018; Larrea y Astur, 2011; Abba, 2014 y 2018; Leal, y Moraes, 2018), the management work of the internationalization activities carried out by the authors in various national universities in the last 15 years, the analyzes of particular cases developed in some universities and various reports on the self-assessment processes of the internationalization activities of Argentine universities, this article will present an analysis of the main challenges of managing institutional internationalization processes in the current post-pandemic context and its concrete possibilities of articulation with current virtualization processes in higher education institutions. Within this framework, some challenges and difficulties for the consolidation of these processes will be observed, as well as suggestions or proposals will be detailed to continue their strengthening and future prospects in an articulated way in order to promote a more inclusive internationalization.
