Abstract

La ciudad de Neuquén- capital de la provincia homónima- es un ejemplo notable de crecimiento acelerado y espontáneo. Este crecimiento, acompañado por la ausencia de pautas de ordenamiento territorial, ha provocado que la expansión urbana sacrificara tirras de cultivo bajo riego e invadiera la meseta árida que domina la ciudad, situaciones que han incidido negativamente en la calidad de vida. Especialmente se ha generado un hábitat discontinuo, muy extendido, con una configuración irregular y sin debida definición en el uso del suelo.
