El Centro de Estudios e Investigación en Asuntos Cooperativos (CEIAC)

Abstract

The Center for Studies and Research in Cooperative Affairs (CEIAC) works at the Faculty of Economics and Administration (FaEA) of the National University of Comahue (UNCo) with the aim of strengthening and disseminating the principles of solidarity, investigate the problems in the region and as a way of university extension, providing support to non-profit entities. It is composed by teachers of FaEA UNCo and external collaborators. Its directors are Lic. Humberto Zambón and Mg. Adriana Giuliani. The purpose of this paper is to share the actions of CEIAC over more than ten years now. In particular, two significant facts as were the construction of the Bureau of Social Economy of Neuquen and the process of drafting the bill on the same subject. Also, the latest project being carried out by the CEIAC, the program to support small and medium fruit and vegetable producers Upper Valley of Río Negro and Neuquén through the Social Economy in the context of the call for the Secretariat of University Policies of the Ministry of Education.
