Abstract
A pesar de que el área valletana se ha caracterizado desde fines del siglo pasado por su acelerado crecimiento demográfico y aún cuando en nuestros días este crecimiento y el consecuente incremento de la fuerza de trabajo resultan notablemente superiores al promedio nacional, no se puede satisfacer la demanda de cosecheros con los recursos humanos locales. Este déficit fue cubierto con flujos migratorios de diferente origen y se mantienen hasta nuestros días con variaciones en su origen y características.
