About the Journal

Páginas de Filosofía was first published in July 1991, under the direction of María Inés Mudrovcic. Since that first issue, a recurring issue that has affected the continuity of the journal is the financial issue and the lack of budgetary programming for this type of undertaking. Unfortunately, the situation has not changed much since then, and these problems remain a constant. But the common objective that unites us with that first appearance also remains: to generate a space where not only the dictum of the Academy “to publish so as not to die” is fulfilled, but also and mainly, to favor the exchange and the generation of spaces for reflection.
Today, 20 years after that first appearance on paper, we present a new digital edition of the journal, which joins the broader project of the Central Library of the Universidad Nacional del Comahue to generate an institutional repository. We hope that this digital initiative will strengthen the visibility of Páginas and make it, not only for the authors who trust our journal to publish their work, but also for the people of Comahue itself, an academic space for participation.

Sometimes, to continue publishing a magazine in Comahue and that, in addition, that magazine is about Philosophy, seems like a whim. But despite the misfortunes and setbacks, those of us who are part of Páginas are convinced that it is not just a magazine and that each new appearance marks the certainty that it is possible to continue writing and thinking from this side of the world.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank in particular those who accompany us in this project: To Fabiana Erazun, who accepted the challenge of “reviving” this publication; to Daniel Scheck, with whom we started this new stage and took on the arduous task of directing Páginas; to Verónica Viñao and Cristina Behnisch, for their criteria and constant support; to all those who passed through the direction of the magazine and who gave us their knowledge and help because they know the work this implies; to the staff of the Central Library, Eugenia Luque, Adriana Acuña, Claudia Muñoz and Manuel Garrido, who have worked on this project and have made the dream of those of us on the Editorial Board to see new issues of Páginas circulating their own, to all of them go our most sincere thanks.
